This flamboyant 1960s British couture dress is crafted from silk chiffon hand-dyed with a swirling, psychedelic pattern in lilac, pink and lime green. The couturier is unknown as the labels have been lost with the passage of time. This bell-sleeve, high-neck silhouette was a desirable look during the swinging 60s period of British fashion. The skirt is plissé pleated and the top and skirt are lined with pale pink-lilac viscose. The attached, flowing scarf forms a high-neckline at the front and is cut from matching printed chiffon. The back of the dress is secured with the original hidden lilac zip.
This memorable dress is in very good to excellent vintage condition - two small holes on the sleeve at the right shoulder have been very well repaired and are virtually unnoticeable. Due to its age, it is unlabelled. Suggested best fit for a UK 8 or US 4, but please double-check the measurements below as brand sizes can vary.
